Wednesday & Thursday at the Barn

Our theme this term has been Working Together and we have had some amazing opportunities to do just this during our Wednesdays and Thursdays at the barn. There have been cooperative art projects, making decorations for the Mexican evening, opportunities during our sharing times to demonstrate different aspects of how working together makes for easier and more effective outcomes and as always we have continued to work together to make some amazing lunches!

We’ve also had fun working together in our movement and music sessions and seen how we can share ideas and encourage each other through movement.

We were approached by Kingswood school to ‘work together’ with their 6th Form students. Our Wednesday Makers were invited to lunch followed by a fruit tree planting session in their school garden. We took sunflower, cosmos and cornflower seeds which we saved from the allotment last year and shared them with them. We look forward to seeing how our ‘working together’ will grow!

Our Thursday group Makers wrote and performed their own drama group interpretation on working together ‘The Beach Park Café’ which brought together the ideas which we have covered and which everyone enjoyed being part of and watching!
