Life Project Chaplain
We are delighted to announce that we have a new Chaplain… Rev Kenny Nelson!
Kenny was recently appointed as a trustee of the Life Project (Bath) and following prayerful discernment has offered his services, skills and experience to support the Life Project family as Chaplain. The trustees are unanimous in their acceptance of Kenny’s offer and know that he will bring positive spiritual support to the charity.
Kenny is Pastor of Elim Church in Bath, and brings a heartfelt commitment to his roles as a Trustee and Chaplain at the Life Project. Originally hailing from Glasgow, Kenny has called Bath home since 2017. He is am married to his wonderful wife, Sharon, and together they have two boys who seem to be growing up way too fast! Kenny’s passion lies in nurturing the Christian values that underpin the Life Project’s mission, rooted in his personal journey and experiences. Kenny is deeply dedicated to fostering a strong foundation of faith and values that can positively impact the lives of those we serve.
Kenny writes,
“I want to take a moment to introduce myself formally to those I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting. My name is Kenny Nelson, and I recently joined the board of trustees for our cherished charity. During our last trustees’ meeting, following reflection and prayer, I felt led to offer my service as the chaplain for our community which was in turn affirmed in a vote by the other trustees.
I’m honoured and excited about the opportunity to support our mission in this capacity and to walk alongside each of you in our shared commitment to those we serve. As a small Christian charity dedicated to supporting adults with learning difficulties, we know that faith and compassion are integral parts of the growth we strive to facilitate in the lives of those we care for. My hope is to be a supportive presence for you as you seek to serve in the areas of responsibility you have, and provide a listening ear to all who may need it.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, thoughts, or would simply like to connect. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you better and serving together.”
Kenny has already met many of our members and Makers, through visiting Springs and being involved in our Life Project Carol Service.
In due course you will be able to contact Kenny via email at chaplain@lifeprojectbath.org.uk (please bear with us as we get this set up).
