Volunteering is a wonderful way of making a difference to peoples’ lives, meeting new people, and supporting the Life Project at the same time!
At the heart of the Life Project is wonderful team of volunteers who we truly value for all the time, skills, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to all of our projects, Makers and Members.
Beginning with Springs, our fellowship group for adults with learning disabilities, the Life Project has grown in size, influence and reach thanks to so many volunteers. Springs has been led and supported entirely by volunteers for the past 20 years, with dedicated volunteers providing transport, contributing music and worship, serving refreshments, building relationships, imparting care, empowering and equipping members, creating memories, offering discipleship and so much more in providing a warm and welcoming community.
Each day when Makers gather for our Day Services (Tues/Wed/Thurs) at the Barn, the Allotment or elsewhere we are blessed with volunteers who impart knowledge about gardening, wood working, nature, food, music, arts and a whole host of interests and skills. Our volunteers support Makers to access activities, participate within Day Services, to feel valued and respected.
All of our trustees are volunteers, bringing knowledge and expertise to provide governance, assess needs and opportunities, plan for the future, and ensure we maintain our vision, mission and values in all we do.
Furthermore, there are volunteers who support our socials, events, fundraising, work days, maintenance, and all the rest. The list is long and every one (from the youngest to the oldest, those who give a few hours here and there to those who are able to give time regularly) is a valued and appreciated member of the Life Project family.
To all our volunteers we offer our respect and appreciation.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
